Former International swimmer Elvis Ali Hazarika has become the first Assamese to have swum 29 km in the 33 km long English Channel in the year 2018. To encourage his valiant efforts, Biva Himangshu Memorial Trust provided him with a pre-event sponsorship grant of Rupees Five Lakhs (Rs.5,00,000/-) As Elvis become the first ever person from North East India to ever swim such a distance in the Mount Everest of all swims, we are really proud to be associated with such an endeavour and wishes him all the best for his future…
